How to win at sports betting
No, this is not Martingale, this is not a financial pyramid and not a scam. And not classical arbitrage, which seems possible in theory, but almost impossible in practice. This is a simple method by which you can consistently win when betting on sports. If you are satisfied with a small but constant profit, then we present you a simple but extremely effective method.
Low-risk football bets
First of all, we choose the sport on which we will bet. And it will be football. The basic idea is this: we are trying to get a factor of 2, which doubles the amount of the bet, choosing as few matches as possible.
Secondly, we will only select unbalanced matches played by strong teams (the best teams in the world championships). Usually in such a match, the favorite has a coefficient of 1.3 – 1.4. For example, Manchester United with a team from the bottom of the English standings. And in order to reduce the risk factor, we indicate in the ticket only two such matches, which together make up a coefficient of 2! That is, the gain is doubled.
Once again, every time we place bets, we choose the most unbalanced matches, but which are played by strong teams. To do this, we compile a list of the strongest teams at major world championships and each time we analyze the matches in which they play. Do not stick to the same teams for more than two matches in a row!
7 out of 10
Moreover: for each ticket, we always put the same amount! And at the end of the month, we draw a line and see what the result is. According to statistics, 7 out of 10 such tickets are winning. Let’s say we bet 10 euros on each ticket. After ten tickets, we will spend 100 euros, and if we win 7 out of 10 matches, then we will have a profit of 40 euros. That is, if they win 7 tickets, on which they staked 10 euros, then we get 140 euros. We subtract the initial amount of the bet, that is, 100 euros, and we get a profit of 40 euros. We can gradually increase the amount of the bet, but very carefully, only after checking the method frequently.
Rules
The biggest illusion bettors have is that they think they can win huge amounts by betting very small amounts. For this reason, a number of mistakes are made, such as: including a large number of matches in one ticket, choosing combinations with very low chances of winning, but with very good odds. In fact, the player makes a series of mistakes and therefore it is important that the player sets rules for himself that he must never break. One of them is not to change the method of betting, not to add additional teams to the ticket, even if these matches seem extremely tempting.
Another rule is that the player does not change his bets upon arrival at the bookmaker’s office: but only bet on what he decided at home. Also, do not make extra bets, do not add other tickets to what was planned at home.
Two or three tickets a week is enough, don’t try to bet too much, even if you follow the method of betting two matches per ticket.
Martingale and arbitrage
Let’s say a few more words about other methods that seem extremely attractive. In the history of gambling, two popular betting methods have attracted the attention of “specialists”.
The martingale method, in which you choose a team and place bets on it until the next ticket wins, has a big drawback: huge amounts of money are needed. More precisely, in Martingale you choose a team and place bets on it until it draws. In football, the odds for a draw are always approximately 3. Thus, you win three times the amount of the bet. In fact, you bet on the same team until it draws, and for each subsequent ticket, always bet the sum of all previous bets (the sum of all previous tickets). Unfortunately, if you start at $50, you can quickly climb up to $10,000 per ticket. This method requires a lot of initial money. Lots of!
Arbitrage
Secondly, arbitrage! You follow the odds of the same match at different bookmakers, and when differences are found, you place bets at both bookmakers and win the difference. For example, in tennis there are only two outcomes, only one of the two players wins. Suppose that in one bookmaker one of the players has a winning odd of 2.5, and in another bookmaker another player has a winning odd of 2.6. We place a bet with both bookmakers (for example, 10 euros per ticket), one of the two tennis players becomes the winner, which means one of the tickets wins. In our example, the minimum profit will be 25 euros (2.5 x 10 euros). If you subtract the 20 euros invested in two tickets, you get a profit of 5 euros. Win-win, but with one condition: if we could find such matches at all! And quite often, more than once every 10 months! Let’s also assume that we have to take into account the corresponding commissions, which reduce the profit margin! And possible restrictions (for example, that you can’t just put that single match on the ticket, without adding other matches).
