Football prediction: Armenia – Latvia (19 June 2023)

Monday will please with another batch of interesting confrontations in qualifying for Euro 2024, we have prepared our prediction for the football Armenia – Latvia.

Armenia

The start of the qualification can be considered quite good for the Armenians, in the first round they lost at home to Turkey – 1:2, although they looked decent. The team was surprised in the second match, when they defeated Wales with a score of 4:2, and the Armenians were considered obvious underdogs, some bookmakers gave a coefficient of 11 for their success. It was not without good luck in the mentioned successful match, but the main thing here is the result. Now the team is fourth in the group, behind the second line by a point, the situation is a bit confusing, as the teams played a different number of matches.

Latvia

For the Latvian national team, this selection began with two defeats, although not everything is as simple as it might seem. In the first match, the team lost 0:1 to Wales on the road, but the intrigue remained until the last. The battle against Turkey at home turned out to be incredibly emotional, the Latvians were able to level the score in the 90+4 minute, playing in the minority, but the opponent managed to score the winning goal just a minute later, as a result of a 2:3 defeat. Even despite the lack of points, Latvia looks decent.

Personal meetings

The opponents met only twice, both battles were friendly, at first a goalless draw was recorded, and then the victory of the Latvians – 2:0. Nine years have passed since the last match, the balance of power has changed.

Football prediction Armenia – Latvia

In the upcoming battle, the hosts are reasonably considered the favorites, although we are waiting for an interesting match, where the Armenians will not be easy. The Latvians have shown that they are able to give battle to serious opponents, the team will try to show their maximum this time as well. We expect football on a collision course and take the risk of betting on “both teams will score.”
