Dinamo (Zagreb)
Dynamo is practically the best club in their country. And quite a serious force at the level of European competitions, a frequenter of the playoffs. But this was more about the Europa League, but the team played in the Champions League for the last time in 2019, when they were in the 1st quartet with Atalanta, Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City. After that, the Croats were knocked out in qualifying by neighbors – Ferencvaros in the cycle before last and Sheriff a year ago. Now Ante Čačić’s wards have managed to pass the entire selection: Shkupi, Ludogorets and Bude-Glimt have been knocked out. Moreover, everything was decided with the Norwegians only in extra time. Having lost minimally on the road, Dynamo quickly scored twice at home, but conceded in return in the 70th minute. And they put the squeeze on the Scandinavians, scoring them in the 117th and 120th minutes.
Chelsea
Chelsea started their cooperation with Tuchel precisely with the success in the Champions League. Having moved from PSG at the height of the season, Thomas managed to win on the move, although the English were not favorites. Now the project is in a difficult period: the sale of the project by Abramovich took place, but the new owners are just getting used to English and European football. As a result, the transfers were cranked up to the deadline. Perhaps, hence the abundance of not the best results in the starting segment. Apart, of course, is the devastating defeat of Leeds. But even with Tottenham in the very ending they missed the victory. In addition, the Grand lost to Southampton. And West Ham were able to put the finishing touches only in the very end: Havertz scored 2-1 in the 88th minute.
